How did you get into Industrial Design?
My father was an engineer and I always looked up to him so I guess kind of stumbled into it. Specific interest into mechanical design grew through my childhood years by taking things apart and wondering why and how they worked.
How would you describe your design style?
No particular style, I just focus on each product and the customer’s expectations for the product. I adapt to any changes and make the product the best it can be while balancing all design constraints.
What was your first cell phone?
nokia something…. Back when phones where thief deterring bricks and all they did were take calls… at best.
What type of cell phone do you own now – do you like it?
I’m on a blackberry now. However I don’t utilize it for its capabilities, I use it mostly for calls, camera, music, and the occasional web search. So yes, I like it.
Name the strangest place you’ve left your phone?
The list is pretty long, ever since I’ve design cell phones, I’ve kind of lost respect for my phones and pretty much constantly abuse them, I’ve gone through four phones this last year – three of which perished in pool/jacuzzi related accidents.
What are your guilty pleasures?
Mostly music, steak, wine, and cheese… Usually all at the same time.
What do you like to do when you’re not working at AGF?
My current hobby is jammin’ on the drums with my band… and no I won’t use this for free advertisement… ok, yes I will. Other than that, just spending as much time as possible with my wife and daughter!
